The ‘human chronome project’ aims to build a multi-dimensional, population-level assessment of human existence over time.

Our first contribution to the chronome combined global data on economic and non-economic activities to provide an estimate of the average time use by all living humans circa 2019. We re-scaled the annual data, for people of all ages in all countries, to a single 24-hour period that we called the Global Human Day.

The data, including national-level input, processing scripts and final outputs, can be downloaded on Zenodo.
